Industry Recognizes 1-800-water Damage With Multiple Honors

Newly Branded Niche Franchise Concepts Continues Expansion Momentum

(Monday, January 02, 2006) - 1-800-WATER DAMAGE has "soaked up" multiple awards and honors in both the water damage and franchise industries recently, strengthening the company's position as a leader and contributing to its national expansion momentum.

Starting out 2006 on a high, 1-800-WATER DAMAGE was ranked No. 10 in Entrepreneur Magazine's
Top 20 New Franchises, and No. 234 overall in the magazine's 27th Annual Franchise 500 ranking, which came out in the January issue.

The Entrepreneur ranking came on the heels of another great honor, after 1-800-WATER DAMAGE received the first place STAR Award from Franchise UPDATE magazine, which recognizes outstanding responsiveness to potential franchisees. Judges for the STAR Award "mystery-shopped" the phone and Internet recruiting efficiency of 150 different franchise organizations, awarding the top honor to 1-800-WATER DAMAGE in its first year with the new brand.

"When I first joined 1-800-WATER DAMAGE last year, I set out to implement procedures that would gain recognition for the new brand," said Eric Little, Director of Franchise Development for 1-800-WATER DAMAGE. "Fulfilling that priority in the brand's first year is very gratifying and is a strong indicator of what's to come. We are absolutely committed to our franchisees and to growing our system. The accolades we received validate our growth and hard work this year and motivate us to continue this momentum into 2006."

Individual 1-800-WATER DAMAGE franchisees have also made their mark this year. Joe Dobbins, who operates a 1-800-WATER DAMAGE franchise in Northern Alabama, was ranked among the nation's top four carpet cleaning professionals as a part of CM/Cleanfax Magazine's annual "Dream Team" awards. CM/Cleanfax Magazine is one of the industry's largest magazines and bases its awards on high levels of expertise, solid reputation, leadership, and positive contributions to the industry.

In addition to receiving multiple honors in 2005, 1-800-WATER DAMAGE extended its operations to 13 states and continues to expand throughout the nation, signing multiple franchise agreements including territories in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Washington.
