Area Hotelier Plans Growth
BIRMINGHAM (Friday, October 13, 2006) -
When the management of Jackson Hospitality Services decided to establish its own chain of hotels in 1989, it wasn't difficult to understand why Boaz, Ala., seemed like the perfect place to inaugurate Key West Inns. Jackson, whose father, Cory G. Jackson Sr., founded Jackson Hospitality Services and remains its CEO, that first hotel was successful from day one. Today, there are 14 Key West Inns in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee and Florida, and all of them are now owned by franchisees rather than the Birmingham-based management company.
