Jim Belanger Named Senior Vice President Of Franchise Development For Yakety Yak And Play N Trade

Industry Veteran to Lead Market Expansion

(Wednesday, January 31, 2007) - Jim Belanger has been named senior vice president of franchise development for Yakety Yak Wireless, Inc., one of the largest wireless franchises in the nation, and Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., the fastest-growing video game retailer in the U.S.

Belanger brings more than 30 years of franchise experience to Yakety Yak and Play N Trade, including serving as director of operations for Hickory Farms' 1100 stores, divisional vice president of Rent-A-Center where he managed 300 stores, and president of Rent Club, Inc., where he expanded the franchise to 100 stores in 12 states. He has also held executive positions with Baker's Square, Burger King, Bally's Tom Foolery and Sierra Tucson.

In his new role, Belanger will lead the market expansion program for the Yakety Yak and Play N Trade brands, including single and multi-unit franchises, as well as territory opportunities for Area Developers. He reports to Ron Simpson, chief franchise development officer.

"Jim's success in leading brand-name franchises is a great asset that will serve us well," said Simpson. "One of Jim's most important tasks in his new role will be to extend market presence for both brands, and we are highly confident in his abilities."

"Yakety Yak and Play N Trade are two of the most exciting franchise opportunities out there, and I am very pleased to join the team as we strengthen brand recognition and increase market share," Belanger said. "Yakety Yak and Play N Trade offer entrepreneurs and small business owners a great opportunity to participate in the thriving wireless and video game markets."

Most recently, Belanger served as COO of Faces Cosmetics, Inc., where he directed U.S., Canadian and Mexican operations of franchisees and company stores. Under his leadership, the company reversed four years of losses through a public offering and concept redesign and branding.
