Port City Java Announces Corporate Sales Increase For October 2006; North Carolina State Dining Signs Additional Agreement

(Friday, November 17, 2006) - Wilmington, NC based Port City Java announces its Corporate Café sales increased 15% for October 2006 vs. October 2005. The increase was due to a new Port City Java opening in the corporate market. Same unit sales were down 2.36% October 2006 vs. October 2005 due to the new café. Management feels the market will absorb the new café and same Café comps will rise. The new free standing Café which offers drive thru service, is located on the Port City Java Campus which houses the Cooperative Office, Training Facility, and Roasting Facility. The Café was destroyed in 2005 and the company is very excited to have its Flagship Café operating again.

North Carolina State University Signs 4th Deal
The company is pleased to announce North Carolina State University Dining has signed a 4th agreement for a Port City Java Café. The new Café will be located at the newly renovated Park Shops on the main campus at North Carolina State University. Management is very pleased with the progression of the Brand and its performance with NCSU Dining. The company feels the concept is being well executed by NCSU Dining and also feels this non-traditional environment has yielded positive results for the Brand and recognizes additional opportunities for this type of non-traditional setting.
