Chicagoland Promotional Products Company Partners With Top Industry Player

DES PLAINES, IL (Friday, December 15, 2006) - Since Lisa Robinson and Sami Ozgen started their promotional products company eight years ago, they have never had trouble bringing in clients, including many Fortune 500 companies. As a minority and woman owned business, many large companies wanted to work with Corporate Image Group, but sometimes felt the company was too small to fulfill multi-million dollar orders. "Many companies approach us with contracts over $10 million and they want to make sure we're financially qualified," said Ozgen. "We've secured some major contracts but have also lost some due to our size." Size should no longer be an issue for Corporate Image Group as the company announced in December that they had partnered with Adventures in Advertising (AIA), one of the 10 largest distributors in the promotional products industry that includes more than 22,000 distributors. Promotional products are items imprinted with a logo or slogan and given out to promote a company, organization, product, service, special achievement or event and include such popular items as apparel, drinkware, writing instruments and business accessories. Robinson and Ozgen met nearly 10 years ago when they worked in a shared office environment. At the time, Robinson was working as an independent advertising sales representative and Ozgen was running his own promotional products company. "It was very basic," recalls Ozgen. "When Lisa and I started developing a business relationship, we knew with her marketing and advertising background, we could build a company that did more than fill orders for promotional products." Today, Corporate Image Group's clients include some of the largest players in the beer, health care, food, transportation and food industries. "We're much more than a company that sells products," said Robinson. "We specialize in more intimate solutions. We want to work hand in hand with marketing teams and be involved in all aspects of planning. Once goals are identified, it's our job to build brand awareness and sell more of their products."
