Donation Of Grinders Valued At $550.00 To Support The Wmuz-bill Brown Ford Annual Blood Drive

(Thursday, June 16, 2005) - Please accept my sincere thank you for your donation of Grinders valued at $550.00 to support the WMUZ-Bill Brown Ford annual blood drive on June 16,2005. Our volunteers and donors were very appreciative of your gift. I want to give you an idea of the impact of the drive you supported. Each summer we face severe blood shortages and this year is no exception. For many blood types, we have only hours of supply. This situation puts all of us at risk for not getting blood when we need it. The WMUZ-Bill Brown Ford blood drive provided 407 pints of blood for the community blood supply. From these units, we can make over 1200 blood products, each of which has the potential to save a life. Rarely do we have a blood drive of this magnitude. In fact, this drive is the highest producing single day blood drive held in all of southeastern Michigan. And, on June 16th, it represented 45% of all of the blood that was donated on that day. Thank you for being a part of this great event. We hope you will consider partnering with them and us again next year.
