Daily Grind Expansion Into North Dallas Market With Opening Of New Franchise Location In The Colony

(Monday, August 28, 2006) - Winchester, Virginia based Daily Grind has announced plans to expand its coffee house and café franchise into the North Dallas market with the opening of a new franchise location at Austin Square in the Austin Ranch Development in The Colony. Daily Grind is known for providing a uniquely relaxing atmosphere and a wide range of signature and specialty beverages and fresh food products for casual in-store dining, carry out and/or catering services. The new store is owned by LGL, Inc., a local entrepreneurial group and is expected to open the first week of September, 2006.

"We're excited to become part of The Colony community," says Ed Chapman co-founder and chief spokesperson for Daily Grind. "One of the things that distinguishes us from other coffee house franchises is that we look to contribute to the community and become part of the fabric of our neighbor's lives in every city and town in which we operate," Chapman says. According to Chapman, Daily Grind is very selective in approving franchisees and seeks business owners who understand and can implement the dual importance of Daily Grind's community-minded mission and long established reputation for quality. "We look for people who understand that Daily Grind is as much about community and taking care of people as it is about providing ambiance, fresh products, and a great experience that invites customers to keep coming back," Chapman says.

Plans for grand opening events will be announced prior to opening. The public will be invited to visit the new location and "unwind" while sampling some of Daily Grind's specialty beverages and casual dining fare.

LGL Inc. will be opening a second location in Frisco. It is slated for a late fall 2006 opening.
