Penn Station Forges Deals For 7 Units

(Friday, December 22, 2006) - Penn Station East Coast Subs, a Philadelphia-inspired sandwich chain based here, said it has inked franchise deals for seven stores in western Illinois, just east of St. Louis, Mo.
Franchisees Atif and Lisa Khan have committed to opening four locations, starting with a Collingwood, Ill., unit in January. System newcomes Arif and Karen Pyarali have agreed to develop three units in Granite City, Ill., also beginning with an opening next month.

Penn Station currently operates or franchises 166 stores, with the highest concentration in the Midwest and Southeast. The chain's signature is a Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich.
