Propertyguys.com's 'The Wealthy Home Seller' Challenges Traditional Real Estate

(Wednesday, February 14, 2007) - PropertyGuys.com is pleased to announce the launch of their new book entitled "The Wealthy Home Seller". This initiative marks a first for Canada's Private Sale industry as the publication was officially released at a nationwide conference of PropertyGuys.com franchise owners representing markets stretching from Victoria B.C. to St. John's NFLD. Addressing the "Future is Now" conference, PropertyGuys.com President, Ken LeBlanc commented, "We are exceptionally proud of this accomplishment. This book shares the story of an entire industry in a way that anyone looking to sell a home can relate to. We wanted to dispel a lot of myths and misperceptions related to real estate and we think folks are going to feel a lot more confident selling on their own – and saving thousands of dollars in the process". LeBlanc added, "It feels good to know that just one quick read could wind up saving thousands of Canadians an awful lot of money".

Authored by one the company's principals, Dale Betts, the concept for the book originated after hearing many requests over the years from franchise owners wanting a resource to share with customers to describe the increasing change and momentum towards commission FREE selling within the real estate world. "The Wealthy Home Seller" is a powerful and practical read; inspired by more than a decade of experience gained through working with thousands of home sellers from all over Canada. The story follows the journey of two neighbors and their families, as they break down real estate industry myths that are designed to eat away at their home equity.

"This story just needed to be told", says author Dale Betts. "We are living in a time where people just want to hear the truth about their options, and many feel that the real estate industry just isn't prepared to deliver those goods."

"The Wealthy Home Seller" delivers the goods. Straightforward information that will reveal everything you ever wanted to know about selling a home, while saving thousands of dollars. The book explores the basic fundamentals of a massive industry shift, fueled by the internet, as consumers search for a less expensive system than currently offered by traditional real estate brokerages. The industry fee structure as a percentage of a home's sale price has become the primary reason why so many home owners have become dissatisfied with the current model. PropertyGuys.com estimates that 25% of Canadian home sellers have already abandoned the commission based formula in favor of the commission FREE alternative. This book is aimed at those who have yet to discover how easy and financially rewarding it is to sell their homes privately.

The book is published by Richard Rogers, of Glen Margaret Publishing. He says, "The Wealthy Home Seller has enjoyed an unprecedented number of initial orders, and the orders continue to grow as the book becomes known across Canada. Several bookstores have already reordered, indicating that the Wealthy Home Seller is destined to become a Canadian bestseller."
