Zpizza Gains Momentum In Southeast

(Thursday, February 15, 2007) - zpizza, the Southern California based gourmet pizza chain, signed two multi-unit franchise agreement with QSR Concepts LLC bringing 21 restaurants to parts of Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. QSR Concepts LLC is scheduled to open two restaurants—one in Williamsburg, VA and another in Atlanta, GA—by the end of 2007.

Often referred to as the Baja Fresh or Panera Bread of the pizza industry, zpizza takes a unique approach to the crowded pizza segment, offering a large selection of premium quality and creative pizzas. zpizza's menu offers 15 tasty and adventurous pizzas as well as sandwiches, salads, calzones and the opportunity to create your own pizza with a selection of crusts— including "winter" wheat, organic sauces, low-fat cheeses, veggies and toppings.

QSR Concepts bought the franchise rights and will be developing zpizza restaurants in Richmond, Williamsburg, Newport News, Yorktown, VA, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. They will also develop nine units in the Atlanta, GA metro area.

Tiffany Kidwell, vice president of QSR Concepts and part owner of Virginia Beach restaurant Isla, will be spear-heading the zpizza development. QSR Concept has narrowed in on Williamsburg as the first of 21 locations and expects to open within six months.

zpizza has 60 locations open nationwide and another 200 in ongoing development in 15 states. The company expects to have more than 100 open units by mid 2008.
