International Franchisor Soars to Top of Annual "Franchise 500" List with Curriculum-Based, Non-Competitive Motor-Skill Development Program

(Tuesday, January 23, 2007) - The Little Gym International, Inc., the leading developer of motor skills in children worldwide, has been named 2007 "Children's Fitness Programs" category leader in Entrepreneur's 28th Annual Franchise 500, showcased in its January issue. The Little Gym has more than 270 locations in the United States and in 16 countries worldwide.

Within the "Children's Fitness Programs" category, The Little Gym topped the list of franchisors, and was ranked #140 overall out of the thousands of franchises nationwide. Rankings were based on a company's financial strength and stability, growth rate, and size.

The Little Gym uses non-competitive curriculum-based gymnastics, movement and other programs to promote coordination, balance, rhythm and flexibility in children between the ages of four months and 12 years. Infants and toddlers participate in classes with their parents, while older students attend classes on their own and add a greater sense of independence to the benefits they gain from the program.
