More Dominic's Coming

Look for more Dominic's of New York kiosks and restaurants to open across the country.

(Tuesday, October 10, 2006) - Richmond-based FoodNet Inc., which owns Dominic's, recently signed an agreement with a franchise development company to jump-start the company's nationwide expansion efforts.

Fransmart is responsible for marketing and finding franchise operators for Dominic's, best known for its Italian sausage sandwiches.

The deal calls for Fransmart to sell 400 Dominic's units in 10 years. Dominic's currently has 50 locations on the East Coast, mostly carts in front of Lowe's home-improvement stores. It also has two restaurants, with two more planned.

"We decided to start growing a little quicker now," said John Felico, FoodNet's president. "We're ready to grow. We just need more franchise operators."
