Friendly's Opens Restaurant In Plymouth, Massachusetts

PLYMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS (Wednesday, May 17, 2006) - Friendly's Restaurants opened a new restaurant in Plymouth, Massachusetts located at 47 Long Pond Road. The restaurant opened on Monday, May 15, 2006.

The new restaurant has an ice cream theme, including "Mocha" booths and "Chocolate and Vanilla" tile. The restaurant also features a counter area. Guests at the Plymouth Friendly's can enjoy some old-time Friendly's favorites like Big Beefs™ and Fribbles™ or try one of the featured burgers - Philly Cheese Burger, Southwestern BBQ Bacon Burger, Mushroom, Cheddar & Bacon Burger and Three Cheese & Bacon Burger. To top off their meal, guests can also indulge in one of our new delicious ice cream creations or enjoy an old favorite.

"The new décor in our restaurants is very warm and inviting. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where our guests can recall favorite memories and create new ones. We want them to feel comfortable while they are enjoying our delicious food and ice cream treats," said Pete Bell, Vice President, Marketing.

The 4,200 square foot restaurant has 135 seats. The restaurant is open everyday from 6:00 am until midnight. The restaurant employs approximately 72 full and part-time people. Jeannine Picard, a ten-year veteran of the restaurant industry, manages the restaurant. Jane Shamaly, District Manager, said, "Plymouth is my home town and I am so proud to open a new restaurant here. Friendly's has been a big part of my growing up in Plymouth. I look forward to continuing to help families celebrate birthdays and sports triumphs at this new restaurant! The crew here has worked hard to create a wonderful restaurant experience and it shows."
