Nation's Largest Italian Ice Chain Opens Second Store In Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (Tuesday, July 18, 2006) - Rita's Ices, Cones, Shakes and Other Cool Stuff, the nation's largest Italian Ice chain, recently opened its second store in Myrtle Beach at Broadway at the Beach.

The store is owned and operated by William and Karyn Munz, who also own the Rita's at the Galleria Shopping Center on North Kings Highway and a Rita's in Quakertown, Pa.

"We're longtime vacationers to Myrtle Beach and we like that others on vacation here can get the Rita's treats they love at home," said William Munz. "And the best part is introducing people to Rita's for the first time.

"We're really thrilled to bring Rita's to Myrtle Beach," said Munz. "Once people try a Rita's product, they're fans for life."

The two Myrtle Beach Rita's locations offer walk-in service and in-store seating. The second Rita's in Myrtle Beach, the Broadway at the Beach location is the third Rita's in South Carolina. Rita's has a store in Hilton Head.

Rita's is open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
