Rita's In Royersford To Celebrate 10th Anniversary With Daylong Anniversary Party

Kids' Activities and Unique Contests to Be Part of the Festivities

ROYERSFORD, PA (Thursday, September 07, 2006) - On Saturday, September 16th Rita's Ices, Cones, Shakes and Other Cool Stuff at the Limerick Square, 70 Buckwalter Road in Royersford will hold a daylong 10th anniversary celebration highlighted by a series of Italian Ice Eating competitions and a frozen t-shirt contest. The festivities will run from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

From 5-7 p.m. glacial gladiators will face off to see who can consume the most Italian Ice in 10 minutes. The winners in each age category will receive official Rita's t-shirts and sweat shirts. At 7 p.m. 10 competitors will attempt to put on a folded Rita's t-shirt that had been frozen at zero degrees for the previous 5 days.

In addition to these unique athletic events there will be a variety of activities for children and adults. For the kids there will be a Moon Walk, a clown from 1-2:30 p.m. and juggling from 3:30-4:30 P.M. At 3 p.m. a giant birthday cake in the shape of the famed Rita's Italian Ice cup will be cuts as guests and employees sing a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday.

Other activities throughout the day will include appearances by Rita's character mascots, DJ & Karaoke, and a variety of carnival style games and prizes.
