Clean And Sanitize With Kitchen Appliances

Using your dishwasher and microwave as cleaning tools are a great way to quickly clean and sanitize everyday items. THE MAIDS Home Services offers seven alternative uses for your dishwasher and microwave in these quick cleaning tips:

* Note: Always make sure items are dishwasher safe and are placed securely on the racks in the dishwasher.

* Wash and sterilize teethers, pacifiers and some small bath toys for infants and toddlers in your dishwasher. Place the items securely on the top rack, turn off "heat dry," and run the dish load as usual.

* Make soap scum disappear on shower caddies and soap dishes by running them through the dishwasher.

* To get more life out of your kitchen sponge, sanitize it in the microwave. Wet the sponge in clean water and place it in the microwave for 60 seconds or until it steams. Be sure to let it cool for several minutes before removing it then let it air dry.
