Carl's Jr.(r) Resolves To Offer The Delicious Chipotle Chicken Salad(tm) In 2007

Big Enough on Taste to Induce Guilt

(Wednesday, January 03, 2007) - Everyone who
resolved to "eat more salad in 2007" just caught a lucky break. Carl's Jr.(R)
announced today the introduction of its latest premium entree salad offering,
the Chipotle Chicken Salad(TM). But take heart -- you won't find your
resolutions dissolving as you stab meager greens drizzled in non-fat
vinaigrette; the Carl's Jr. Chipotle Chicken Salad boasts a robust blend of
charbroiled chicken, fresh salsa, parmesan cheese and zesty chipotle dressing
over a bed of shredded lettuce and piled into a crispy tortilla shell bowl.
It's technically a salad, but it's so big on taste you'll feel as though
you're breaking your resolution early.
"When it comes to finding successful salad offerings at Carl's Jr., we're
kind of victims of our own success," said Brad Haley, executive vice president
of marketing for the brand. "Everyone knows we have big, juicy, delicious
hamburgers, but that can make it more of a challenge to convince people that
our entree salads are worth the trip, as well. Fortunately, the Chipotle
Chicken Salad is big enough in both size and taste to satisfy any appetite."
The Chipotle Chicken Salad features a freshly made, crispy tortilla shell
bowl filled with shredded lettuce and topped with charbroiled chicken, fresh
salsa, parmesan cheese and zesty chipotle dressing. The salad will sell for
$4.59 at most restaurants, although pricing varies. A photo of the salad is

This year, Carl's Jr. celebrates 65 years in the quick-service industry.
What began as a lone hot dog cart in Los Angeles, Calif. in 1941 is today an
international organization that employs nearly 30,000 people worldwide.
