(Monday, October 30, 2006) - In response to the recent news that Rent-A-Wreck of Canada has entered into a share exchange agreement with U-Save Auto Rental of North America, Rent-A-Wreck of America has issued the following statement.

Since 1976, Rent-A-Wreck of Canada has operated a vehicle rental company in the Canadian Provinces. This is wholly separate form the vehicle rental operations of Rent-A-Wreck of America. The recent news of Rent-A-Wreck of Canada's combination with U-Save Auto Rental does not in any way involve our company or its operations.

Rent-A-Wreck of America is the owner of the international trademark Rent-A-Wreck ® in most of Europe, Asia, Middle East, and North and South America. Rent-A-Wreck of America, and our international franchises operating in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland are wholly owned subsidiaries of JJF Management Services Inc., based in Kensington, Maryland.
