U-save Auto Rental Announces Overhaul Of Company's Reservation System

(Monday, April 12, 2004) - U-Save Auto Rental of America, Inc. announced today that it is in the process of overhauling the company's web based reservation system to provide all existing and future U-Save franchisees with the latest Internet hosted reservation technology, as well as complete, seamless global distribution system (GDS) technology. Upon completion, U-Save's franchisees will have the opportunity to have reservations delivered automatically into their rental counter system software, as well as access to rate management systems to fully optimize profitability. The enhancements are being developed by U-Save's technology partners, TSD and Datapex Network Systems, under contracts recently executed. "We are developing a platform that will provide the lowest cost per reservation delivery to any car rental franchisee in the country. This platform will enable the entire system to share a common database for reservations, revenue management and marketing. The new booking engine will allow the company to initiate a customer loyalty program and create unique marketing campaigns for use within the travel community.
