Expansion of Bunn Home Brewer Repair Recall Program

(Friday, July 07, 2006) - Bunn-O-Matic has issued a voluntary North American wide expansion to the previous repair recall of some of its coffee makers so that affected brewers can be repaired. This recall notice applies to all Tim Hortons Bunn Home Brewers with the above model numbers, sold between approximately February 2001 and January 2005. Bunn-O-Matic has informed us of a manufacturing defect which may result in the plastic pour-in bowl melting or igniting due to an
electrical failure, creating a burn and fire hazard.
At Tim Hortons, we value our customers' safety above anything else. If you have one of these models or wish to find out if you do, stop using the model immediately. Unplug the unit and let it cool for at least 3 hours as the water inside the tank is extremely hot. Once the unit is cool,
empty the water and record the model number on the bottom of the machine. Call the Bunn-OMatic hotline at 1-800-385-2652 to determine if your unit is affected by the recall.
If your Home Brewer is included in this recall, you will have 2 options once you have registered your brewer:
Option 1
• Bunn will repair your brewer free of charge. For your convenience, we recommend
that you choose this option whereby Bunn will repair your brewer for you free of
charge.
Option 2
• Bunn will ship you a free in-home repair kit.
