Nrcc Wrap-up

(Wednesday, November 01, 2006) - The 17th Annual Northeast Regional Carwash Convention was held for the fourth year in a row at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey from Monday, October 16 through Wednesday, October 18, 2006. It was hosted by the New England Carwash Association, the official show sponsor was Turtle Wax, and 1604 showgoers were in attendance.

The show began Monday with an attendee registration and welcoming reception at the Suilan by Susanna Foo restaurant. Tuesday kicked off with an Early Bird session at The MIXX restaurant, followed by a panel discussion entitled "Shop Talk from the Front Line". Bob Losyk gave his keynote speech "Workforce 2010: Preparing Today for the Workforce Challenges of Tomorrow," followed by Bob Katseff's ICA address, and the awards presentation for Most Distinguished Person and Best Exhibitor Display — received by Ron Bousquet and Belanger, respectively. Upon its culmination, show- goers attended a luncheon, followed by another speech by Bob Losyk entitled "How to Recruit and Hire the Right People." The exhibit hall was then opened from 2:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday began with the 7 a.m. Early Bird session, followed by the educational session "20 Ideas in 20 Minutes," led by Anthony Analetto. The show floor opened promptly after this at 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
