Culver's Kid's Program Gets Fresh, New Look For Summer

New Team Scoopie Premiums Encourage Active, Outdoor Fun

(Monday, June 05, 2006) - As warmer weather arrives, so does Culver's®
updated kid's program designed to promote an active lifestyle. Kicking off this summer, the
redesigned Team Scoopie program includes new graphics, premiums and packaging as well as a
new website located at www.teamscoopie.com.
With every kid's meal purchased, kids can collect Team Scoopie tokens that can earn
their choice of four fun premiums. Two tokens come with every kid's meal. A child can turn in
one token at each visit for a scoop of Culver's creamy frozen custard or keep it and collect the
tokens. Guests can earn a fun toy or a free kid's meal in as little as five visits to any of Culver's
more than 325 locations.
Each premium is free with ten tokens or available for sale at $4.99 plus tax. Culver's
young guests can choose from new premium options including a soft baseball, playground ball,
T-shirt or camping lantern. Kids can even learn fun games to play with their new toys by
logging onto the Team Scoopie site located at www.teamscoopie.com . On the site, kids can
learn how to play outdoor games such as pickle, four square, kickball and capture the lantern.
On the Team Scoopie site, kids can also color artwork and print their masterpiece, build their
dream sundae using their favorite Culver's toppings and download fun screen savers and
wallpaper featuring the adventures of Scoopie and his dog, Fudge.
A study in the June 2005 The Journal of Pediatrics recommends school-age youth
participate daily in at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity. The same study
recommends activities that are developmentally appropriate, enjoyable and involve a variety of
activities.
