Mar Cor Purification Launches The 4400hx Heat Disinfection Water System For Hemodialysis

SKIPPACK, PA (Monday, November 20, 2006) - Mar Cor Purification announced the launch of the 4400HX hot water disinfection water systems for use in the Hemodialysis market. The 4400HX system is the first fully automated hot water disinfection for both the Reverse Osmosis machine and the distribution system in the US hemodialysis market. The system has a device registration with US FDA 510(k) and Health Canada, making it fully compliant with Hemodialysis regulations in North America.

The 4400HX was developed to meet the increasing water requirements for microbiological control and reduction of operating costs. Heat disinfection is considered to be a more effective process for controlling biofilm and pyrogens than chemical methods. Mr. John Rickert, VP of Sales USA of Mar Cor Purification, said "The dialysis market is moving towards higher water quality and lower operating costs. Any clinic looking out 5 years should consider the 4400HX system to address future water needs. The 4400HX was developed from designs for the Pharmaceutical market which has similar water quality requirements and has broadly accepted heat disinfection for bacteria control." The 4400HX is available in 4 standard configurations and flowrates that can supply water for up to 35 patients.
