Burlington Boston Pizza Franchisee Wins Developer Of The Year Award

BURLINGTON, ON (Tuesday, May 24, 2005) - Boston Pizza International Inc. presented John Wannamaker, franchisee of the Boston Pizza Burlington North and South locations, with the 2004 Developer of the Year Award at Boston Pizza's Franchisee Awards Gala held recently in Cancun, Mexico.

The Developer of the Year Award is presented annually to the franchisee who has significantly contributed to the growth of the Boston Pizza chain through new restaurant construction.

"I'd really like to thank everyone in Burlington for making 2004 a successful year for Boston Pizza," said Wannamaker. "We had such a positive response to the opening of our first store in January that we decided to open a second restaurant in the same year. Both restaurants are thriving and we wouldn't have won this award without the support of the community."

John Wannamaker opened the first Boston Pizza location in Burlington, located at Guelph Line and the QEW, in January 2004 and the second location at Dundas and Appleby last October. Collectively, the two restaurants employ 150 people.
