Boston Pizza Kitchener Franchisees Win Rookie Of The Year Award

KITCHENER, ON (Tuesday, May 24, 2005) - Boston Pizza International Inc. presented David Toye and Brian Haase, franchisees of the Boston Pizza location in Kitchener, Ontario, with the 2004 Rookie of the Year Award at Boston Pizza's Franchisee Awards Gala held recently in Cancun, Mexico.

The Rookie of the Year Award is presented to a new franchisee who demonstrates the drive to achieve superior results in their first year of restaurant ownership within the Boston Pizza system. Winners show a commitment to community involvement and have a solid understanding of Boston Pizza's operational systems.

"The response we received from the people of Kitchener exceeded our expectations," said Haase. "During our first year of business, we were among the top performing restaurants in the chain, with sales in excess of $2 million."

The Kitchener Boston Pizza restaurant and sports bar opened in June 2004 and was the 200th Boston Pizza location to open chain-wide.
