Boston Pizza Awards Calgary's Macleod Trail Franchisee With Sales Growth Award

CALGARY, AB (Tuesday, May 24, 2005) - Boston Pizza International Inc. presented Clarence Tomanik, franchisee of the MacLeod Trail location in Calgary,
Alberta, with the 2004 Sales Growth Award at Boston Pizza's Franchisee Awards Gala held recently in Cancun, Mexico.

The Sales Growth Award is presented annually to the franchisee with
the highest percentage increase in sales over the past calendar
year.The MacLeod Trail restaurant achieved an impressive sales increase
of more than 60 per cent.

We relocated our restaurant in September 2003 to offer our guests a
bigger, more comfortable dining experience, said Tomanik. It's great to
see that our move contributed to such a dramatic increase in sales and
that our dedication to continually enhancing the guest experience
generated such great results.

The sales increase achieved by the MacLeod Trail location is
