Century 21 Buys Dwellings Real Estate Firm.

ATLANTA (Saturday, February 11, 2006) - Century 21 Gold Medal Realty has bought dwellings Inc., one of metro Atlanta's independent real estate firms.

Terms of the deal, which closed Nov. 1, were not disclosed.

Four offices located in East Atlanta, Decatur, Little Five Points and Midtown will continue to serve Atlanta as Century 21 dwellings.

"This acquisition represents tremendous growth for our business and a greater opportunity to bring increased levels of service and expertise to the buyers, sellers and investors in the metro Atlanta market," said Chris Ballard, broker/owner of Century 21 Gold Medal Realty.

Century 21 Gold Medal Realty is one of the top producing Century 21 firms in Georgia. The acquisition of dwellings will fortify its foothold in the Atlanta metro market.

With offices in Atlanta, Conyers and Decatur, Century 21 Gold Medal Realty has 200 sales associates. The dwellings offices will add 150 more employees to the firm.

"We were at a crossroads," said Mark Jones, principal at dwellings. "We were growing and to be able to grow, we needed more systems and tools to provide our agents than we could as a small agency. Century 21 has all that."

Jones and Darryl Ouellette, former dwellings principals will remain with Century 21 dwellings.
