Johnny Bench, Robert Orr Presentations Highlight Brooke National Franchise Convention

(Wednesday, November 01, 2006) - Brooke Corporation
(NASDAQ: BXXX) recently wrapped up activities at its second national
franchise convention, held Oct. 22-24 at the South Point Casino and Hotel in
Las Vegas. Nearly 1,000 Brooke franchisees, employees, directors and
stockholders from across the country were on hand to participate in the
three-day event.
Activities kicked off during Sunday evening's poolside welcome reception and
concert, with music provided by Senergy. Shawn Lowry, Brooke Franchise
Corporation president, provided the welcome and recognized Brooke's state
franchise award winners with a video presentation. Presentations were also
given by representatives from Sentry Insurance and AIG Agency Auto.

Baseball Hall of Fame catcher Johnny Bench delivered Monday's keynote
address, outlining the "Vowels of Success" during his presentation. Attendees
also heard presentations by Brooke Corporation founder and chief executive
officer, Robert D. Orr, who spoke on Brooke Franchise's "Agency Revolution"
and representatives from MetLife and Victoria Insurance. An exhibitor's
showcase was also held Monday evening that featured more than 30 insurance
company and other vendor exhibits, and presentations by representatives from
Drive Insurance, Bristol West, NCMIC Finance and Safeco.

Educational breakout sessions were also held with presenters and topics that
included Daniel Abramson, "Hiring Top Talent," Mark Bell, "Identifying
Profitable Customers and Location Selection," Mark Bohac, "Value Selling,"
John Boe "Recruit, Train and Motivate Your Way to the Top" and "Selling Face
to Face," JoAnna Brandi, "Customer Loyalty and Retention" and "Building a
Magnetic Company," Mick Ferraro, "Grassroots Public Relations," and Shelly
Freeman, "Critical Employment Law Issues." Convention events concluded on
Tuesday morning.

"This year's convention was by far the best gathering of our franchisees,
employees and others in the company's history," Orr said. "All the events,
from the opening night poolside gathering to Johnny Bench's keynote address,
were received with great enthusiasm by all of our participants and we are
already looking forward to next year's event."
