Brooke Franchise Corporation Selects Christenson, Barclay & Shaw For Yellow Page Placement

(Wednesday, July 12, 2006) - Brooke Franchise
Corporation, a subsidiary of Brooke Corporation (NASDAQ: BXXX), announced
that it has selected Christenson, Barclay & Shaw (CB&S), one of the top
yellow page advertising agencies in the country, to coordinate yellow page
advertising for Brooke franchisees.

CB&S serves as a liaison between Brooke and directory publishers by
submitting advertising orders to publishers on a national level. In addition,
CB&S negotiates advertising rates directly with the publisher, providing
Brooke with national price incentives.

CB&S also provides market analysis reports, which include demographic and
directory usage information, market potential and data analysis by
metropolitan statistical areas. These reports assist in determining the top
directories for each franchise location and help Brooke recommend what
advertisements will provide the franchisee with the most beneficial customer
response.
