Brooke Franchise Corporation Upgrades Agency Management System

(Monday, July 31, 2006) - Leland G. Orr, general
manager of Brooke Franchise Corporation's Phillipsburg, Kan. campus, announced
that Version 6.0 of the Brooke Management System was released today. Brooke
Franchise Corporation is a subsidiary of Brooke Corporation (NASDAQ: BXXX)
and a leading franchisor of insurance agencies. The Phillipsburg campus
provides basic services to Brooke franchisees including commissions
processing, document imaging, facility support and advertising assistance.

"The Brooke Management System, or BMS, represents a complete rethinking of
agency automation and is available only to Brooke franchisees. BMS is built
around the electronic distribution of documents using e-mail and the Web for
delivery of customer information to franchisees," stated Orr. "A complete
agency management system offers more than just agency automation, therefore,
BMS is integrated with our processing center for cash and document management
assistance, our advertising center for brand management assistance and our
facility center for office management assistance."

BMS 6.0 includes new features such as: 1) improved design to provide
franchisees with a new, streamlined appearance, 2) an insurance policy module
with integrated auto and home rating features powered by AMS SETWrite™, 3)
an emphasis on electronic download of policy information from insurance
companies using IVANS download services, and 4) new help screens with
expanded help information.

BMS 6.0 builds on the e-mail integration innovations originally introduced in
the previous version of BMS. These e-mail innovations include: 1) customer
file documentation through the use of e-notes, 2) reminders using e-minders,
3) fax distribution through the use of e-faxes, 4) document distribution by
the processing center using e-awares, and 5) document distribution by
franchisees using e-images.

BMS 6.0 continues to provide franchisees with the unique capability to
convert paper documents to electronic images by faxing documents to the
processing center. When documents are faxed using a cover sheet generated
through BMS, they are automatically filed, or auto-attached, to the
corresponding customer for easy retrieval. Pictures and other electronic
files may also be uploaded, or e-attached, by franchisees to their customer
files using BMS.

To commemorate the release of BMS Version 6.0, Brooke Franchise Corporation
is hosting a "Popcorn and a Movie" celebration. An introductory DVD was sent
to each Brooke franchise location along with a collectible gift pack
containing assorted candy and popcorn.
