Mark Pearson Named As Director Of Franchise Development

(Thursday, August 24, 2006) - Accor North America, one of the largest hotel chain owner and operators in North America, announces the hiring of Mark Pearson as senior director of Franchise Development. Pearson's responsibilities include selling, promoting, developing and growing the Red Roof Inn, Studio 6 and Motel 6 brands through franchising. His territory includes the states of Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.



Prior to joining Accor, Pearson was Director of Franchise Sales for Choice Hotels International, selling franchises for Mainstay Suites extended stay brand in the Midwest. Prior to that, he was employed by Cendant Corporation as a Franchise Sales Director, where he was responsible for new construction hotel development of the Wingate, Amerihost and Super 8 brands in the Midwest, as well as selling conversions. While with Cendant Corporation, Pearson was the recipient of Cendant's Rookie of the Year Award in 2000 and the Salesman of the Year Award in 2002.
