Teledex Partners With Accor To Deploy Wifi At Studio 6 Properties

ExpressNet® AirLink™ Being Installed at all Studio 6 Properties in the United States

(Tuesday, October 10, 2006) - Teledex, the leading worldwide provider of guest room telephones for the hospitality industry, and Accor North America, one of the nation's largest owners/operators of economy lodging, announced the installation of Teledex's ExpressNet AirLink high-speed Internet access solutions at all of Accor's 35 Studio 6 properties in the United States. Installation is expected to be completed next month, and wireless Internet access will be available throughout more than 4,700 guest rooms at Studio 6's properties nationwide.

"After installing the system at one of our properties for review and analysis, we decided that it was the most appropriate HSIA solution for our Studio 6 extended-stay brand."



Every Studio 6 property will receive ExpressNet AirLink wireless access points and related infrastructure equipment, along with Teledex Pearl guestroom telephones. ExpressNet AirLink access points utilize the patented ExpressPort under-phone adapter that converts standard phone lines to high-speed VDSL data lines. Very high bit-rate digital subscriber line (VDSL) technology delivers up to 15 MBPS of bandwidth to each wireless access point or wired endpoint on the network.

The AirLink system will bring a combination of wired and wireless HSIA to the properties. Rooms that are installed with an AirLink wireless access point will have both a wired and wireless connection. These rooms represent approximately 20 percent of the rooms at any one property, and all other rooms will have wireless-only access. Wired rooms will be available on a first-come first-served basis for those who have an immediate need, such as government or corporate guests.



In addition, Teledex is providing assistance to Studio 6 guests and hotel management who need help accessing the Internet or managing the system. Guests and hotel management can contact the toll-free number provided, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
