Sterling-based Realty Direct Franchise Corp Grows To Over 30 Offices Nationwide

(Wednesday, March 01, 2006) - Realty Direct, a Full Service Real Estate Brokerage headquartered in Sterling, was a mere dream in the minds of co-founders, Tip and Wendy Powers four years ago. Today, it has grown into a fast growing national franchise gaining recognition and accolades from such well known publications as Entrepreneur Magazine, Realtor Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. "We just felt consumers were hungry for a good value," says Tip Powers. He added, "Realty Direct was founded on the basis that you could run a successful real estate business while offering full service at a fair price… and that became our mission."

Loudoun County residents immediately welcomed this new concept with astounding results and it became clear to Tip and Wendy early on that this was a business model the country was ready for. In late 2003 they decided to start franchising their concept. Initially franchise sales were strongest in Northern Virginia, but in a very short time they have achieved coverage in 9 states plus Washington, DC. "We are not shy of the fact that we are a discount brokerage, but lower fees does not have to mean reduced services," said Wendy Powers. She added, "One of the reasons that we have experienced this amazing growth is that our structure makes sense to home buyers and home sellers."

So what's next for this Loudoun based company? According to Tip and Wendy, the plan for 2006 includes increasing the number of franchise offices nationwide to over 80 and increasing the market share in Northern Virginia.
