Qdoba Mexican Grill Growing In Florida, Signs Franchise Agreement For Tampa And Orlando
TAMPA AND ORLANDO (Saturday, October 01, 2005) -
In a continuation of its rapid growth, Qdoba Mexican Grill has signed a franchise agreement with Wade Oney of Jed Fresh Development. He and his partner Wade Gosnell will be expanding in the Tampa and Orlando area, announced Qdoba's President and Chief Executive Officer, Gary Beisler.
Franchisee Wade Oney has worked in the restaurant business for 25 years, beginning with his experience as an assistant manager with Cel's Pizza. Oney was also an assistant manager with Dominos Pizza and worked his way through the ranks to become the vice president of operations for the United States. Oney's most recent corporate position was the chief operating officer for Papa John's Pizza, which he retired from in 1999. He currently owns over 50 Papa John's Pizza stores.
Wade Gosnell has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry in both management and operations of family casual dining and delivery concepts.
The group opened their first Qdoba location in October 2005 at 202 West Lake Mary Boulevard in Sanford, Fla., with plans to build additional locations in Tampa and Orlando, beginning with the Maitland and Lake Buena Vista area located in Orlando, Fla.
