Electricity In The Air

GREEN BAY, WI (Tuesday, March 14, 2006) - Rose Fauster knew she was home when she walked into Lambeau Field for the first time on a crisp Monday evening this past fall. "There was an electricity in the air—an excitement that comes from a shared passion," Fauster commented. "I always strive to live my life to the fullest and with much enthusiasm. I immediately loved the energy of the people in northeastern Wisconsin. It definitely factored in to my decision to pack up my life in Chicago and accept the job as Marketing Director of JO TO GO Coffee®." A Wisconsin Native With Big Dreams Fauster grew up in West Bend, Wisconsin. Her dad was a police officer and her mom worked for the West Bend News. "I guess media relations and advertising is in my blood," she commented. She attended the University of Wisconsin—Madison and graduated with a degree in Communications. "After graduating from Madison I set my sights high. I wanted to work for one of the top marketing agencies in the country and I began to work towards that goal," said Fauster. She moved to Chicago to take a position as an Advertising Coordinator for JTC Advertising. She worked her way up in the company from Coordinator to Account Executive, to Senior Account Executive. That's when she got her big break, accepting a position at a leading, worldwide advertising agency—DDB Worldwide. At DDB Worldwide, she worked on the McDonalds account and helped revive the McDonald's Monopoly Game promotion. "I remember the first time I saw a McDonalds Monopoly game piece lying in the gutter," she laughed. "I knew I had truly arrived!" After working for DDB Worldwide, she accepted a position as Marketing Director for Chicago Magazine. "Working for Chicago Magazine was fabulous. The focus of the magazine is Chicago's high society. For a while, I loved being a part of that scene. It was exciting," Fauster said. But she longed for a new challenge and the opportunity to be closer to her family in Wisconsin. "I had learned so much from industry leaders," she commented. "I wanted to take everything I had learned and build something with it." A New Challenge Fauster began researching the coffee industry and was surprised to learn that it was literally exploding with opportunity. Other than Starbucks, there are no other clear-cut standouts in the specialty coffee industry, yet the U.S. retail coffee market has eclipsed $19.2 billion a year, making it second to only petroleum as a commodity. After researching many coffee retailers, she decided to pursue a position at JO TO GO Coffee®. "JO TO GO Coffee® takes a unique, straightforward approach to selling coffee," she said. "We address people's busy lifestyles, giving them a great cup of coffee—fast. As a franchise, JO TO GO Coffee® also offers a tremendous opportunity to small business enthusiasts. We have a top-notch team of support staff that can help make someone's dreams of running a coffee business a reality." And what does she think of Green Bay, Wisconsin two months into her position? "So far, Green Bay is everything I thought it would be. It manages to offer both the excitement of the big city, and the strong sense of community you get from living in a small town. I am very happy to be here."
