Dairy Queen® Teams Up With Orange Julius® At The Longwood Galleria In Boston

BOSTON (Thursday, December 02, 2004) - Orange Julius of America and American Dairy Queen Corporation proudly announce the recent opening of a new Orange Julius/Dairy Queen store in the Longwood Galleria, in Boston, Mass.


The specialty store is located in the food court on the mall's main level. The store is owned by Theodore Dimacopoulos and the on-site manager is Helen Orphanos.

The new Orange Julius/Dairy Queen store serves an assortment of Orange Julius products, including Julius® Premium Fruit Smoothies, freshly-blended smoothies made with real fruit, fruit juice and frozen non-fat vanilla yogurt or sherbet. The current Julius® Premium Fruit Smoothie feature is Strawberry Sensation. Strawberry Sensation is a delicious blend of real strawberries, tropical fruit juice and non-fat frozen yogurt – and best of all its low in fat! Additional menu items include the famous and frothy Julius® Original blended fruit drinks. The store also serves a variety of Dairy Queen soft-serve items, including the famous Blizzard® treats, MooLatté ™ frozen blended coffee drinks and other DQ soft-serve ice cream treats.

The Longwood Galleria location features a fresh, exciting design concept incorporating maple woodwork and colorful glass tiles. The Longwood Galleria is located at the intersection of Brookline and Longwood avenues.

Dimacopoulos is extremely pleased with the new store and states, "I am so excited to open the first Dairy Queen/Orange Julius in the Boston area since the 1960's. I hope we make our mark in the area!" Dimacopoulos and his family have been in the franchise industry for over 30 years. His family bought their first store in the early 1970's and now owns a total of three stores and are very pleased with the business.
