Orange Julius® Teams Up Dairy Queen® With At The Tacoma Mall

TACOMA (Monday, February 28, 2005) - Orange Julius of America and American Dairy Queen Corporation proudly announce the recent re-opening of the Orange Julius/Dairy Queen store at the Tacoma Mall in Tacoma, Wash.

Located on the corner of the mall's main level, the specialty store was once an Orange Julius-only location, but now includes Dairy Queen as well. The store is owned by Kurt Schauermann and the on-site manager is Matt Wickham. Kurt and Matt have worked and managed stores together for over 4 years.
The new Orange Julius/Dairy Queen store serves an assortment of Orange Julius products, including the Julius® Premium Fruit Smoothies, freshly-blended smoothies made with real fruit, fruit juice and frozen non-fat vanilla yogurt or sherbet. The current Julius Premium Fruit Smoothie feature is the new 3-Berry Blast. 3-Berry Blast is an exciting blend of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and non-fat frozen yogurt. Additional menu items include the famous and frothy Julius Original blended fruit drinks. The store also serves a variety of Dairy Queen soft-serve items, including the famous Blizzard® treats, MooLatté® frozen blended coffee drinks and other DQ® soft-serve ice cream treats.

The Tacoma Mall location features a fresh, exciting design concept incorporating maple woodwork and colorful glass tiles.

Kurt Schauermann is extremely pleased with the remodel and excited to continue the long-standing tradition of Orange Julius at the Tacoma Mall. "This store has been in this location for nearly 20 years and is the longest food operations store in the mall. It is a pillar in the mall - thanks to our amazing customers and committed employees. We are also happy that Dairy Queen will now be available at this location as well." This is the 10th store opening for Kurt, who has been franchising in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 30 years.
