Local Entrepreneur Recognized As "franchisee Of The Year"

CONROE, TEXAS (Monday, August 15, 2005) - Harry Grubbs, franchise owner of the Conroe-based Mr. Appliance®,
was recognized with the company's Franchisee of the Year award at their 2005 annual reunion in Las
Vegas, Nev.
"Every year we recognize one franchisee with this honor," Mike Bidwell, president of Mr. Appliance®,
said. "Harry's location sets a wonderful example for our other franchise locations across the United States."
The Franchisee of the Year award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a franchisee. The award
is presented by each company to the franchisee who has consistently grown through proper training and
management of the organization and has had a consistently high level of success through quality,
professional service.
"Our success is largely due to our employees' abilities to deliver quality service to loyal, happy clients,"
Grubbs said. "We owe our thanks to all of them."
Grubbs was also presented with The Excellence in Leadership and Top Gun® awards. The Excellence in
Leadership award is presented by each company to the franchise owner who consistently sets an example
for others within the system by conveying vision, participation and positive contribution to the network.
The company's Top Gun® award recognizes business owners that are the shining examples of the Mr.
Appliance® organization in 2004. Less than 15 percent of franchise owners are awarded with this
recognition.

commercially and residentially, to the counties of Harris and Montgomery.
