First Mr. Appliance® Franchise Receives Certified Service Center Status

Woodrow Holloway's M r . Ap p li a n ce of Birmingham franchise is the first Mr. Appliance franchise to achieve the industry's highest recognition of becoming a Certified Service Center (CSC). The CSC program recognizes service businesses for their commitment to providing quality customer service by skilled technicians and service management. It is designed to help consumers find quality service businesses and appliance manufacturers to select businesses for in-warranty repairs. "This recognition puts me in an elite group of professional, devoted business owners that consumers can turn to for quality repair work," Holloway said. The business provides repair services on all major brands of appliances in homes and businesses in the counties of Jefferson and Shelby. Businesses awarded the CSC status must have a storefront or permanent place of business that conveys a professional appearance, comply with all business licensing and zoning laws, abide by the established code of conduct, use industry-approved equipment, have a written customer service program and maintain insurance coverage and a service warranty. CSC businesses are also required to employ one manager with a service manager certification or an associate business degree and 25 percent of technicians must be certified. CSC certifications are valid for three years.
