New Moto Franchise Corporation Meets With Franchise Owners At Pma
(Thursday, February 27, 2003) -
MOTO Franchise Corporation (MFC), the new franchisor of the 272-store MotoPhoto chain, will be conducting its first official meeting with franchisees at the Photo Marketing Association convention her on Wednesday, March 5. MFC acquired substantially all of the assets of Moto Photo, Inc. on February 10, 2003. Harry Loyle, the majority shareholder and operating president & CEO of MFC, recently formed the privately-owned Ohio based company with six other equity partners who are also MotoPhoto franchisees and Area Developers. Mr. Loyle was formerly a director of Moto Photo, Inc., and is its largest outside shareholder. In addition to his open meeting with franchisees, Mr. Loyle will conduct a session of the MFC Franchisee Forum, a group of 15 people elected by the franchise owners, and a meeting of the MotoPhoto Advisory Board which consists of the seven shareholders of the new company. At the open session, major vendors to the MotoPhoto system will make presentations. Among them is Kodak. "We plan to work closely with our supplier, Eastman Kodak, to expand our digital offerings while continuing to offer the best products and services to support or core film-based processing business," said Mr. Loyle. Discussing the future, Mr. Loyle sees MotoPhoto's new focus on digital portrait studios a major opportunity as it offers a package of digital previewing, custom enhancements and rapid delivery. Currently, there are about 50 digital portrait studios in the MotoPhoto system. MFC will make its headquarters in Dayton, Ohio.
