Saladworks Franchise Latest Location: Wilmington, Delaware
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (Monday, May 01, 2006) -
In mid-April, Caryn and John Morrow opened Saladworks, the nation's leading healthy alternative to fast food and the originator of the fresh tossed to order salad concept, in the Concord Square shopping center at 4127 Concord Pike. Saladworks is one of the region's fastest growing franchise companies with more than 20 new stores opened in 2005. The husband and wife team are thrilled to bring Saladworks to Wilmington, and hope to open more area locations in the near future.
"With our other two businesses, my husband and I have been building and supplying materials to Saladworks and its franchises for more than 15 years," says Caryn. "In dealing directly with franchisees, we've heard countless stories of how great the company is and how easy it is open a store. So we decided to give it a try ourselves."
As the owners of Jemcor Builders Inc. and Specialty Retail Fabricators Inc., the Morrows have built many Saladworks stores. They also manufacture custom millwork used at many Saladworks locations. With the Wilmington franchise, the Morrows are branching out into a whole new business venture, but are confident of their coming success.
The new location, an all-new stand alone construction features a bright and bold colored interior with dark, earth-tone floors and rich and warm colored fabric covered banquettes and booths. Additional seating is provided with handsome wooden tables and chairs. At the front of the store, a large state-of-the-art temperature-controlled salad case serves as a focal point. Colorful impressionist artwork adorns the walls, beautiful rattan paddle fans and custom, hand-blown pendant lamps, suspended from the ceiling, complete the welcoming ambience.
Saladworks features an extensive menu that offers more than 12 salad varieties including: Bently, Iceberg and Romaine lettuce, chopped eggs, tomatoes, ham, provolone cheese and turkey breast; Mandarin Chicken, Spring Mix, roasted chicken breast, mandarin oranges, cucumbers, carrots, raisins, and chow mein noodles; and Nicoise, Iceberg and Romaine lettuce, pasta, tuna, tomatoes, chopped eggs and black olives. In addition to salads, the Wilmington location offers a full saute pasta menu, Panini sandwiches, wraps and a full catering menu. Since its inception, Saladworks has emerged as a leader in the quick-casual food arena, by offering a tasty, yet healthy alternative to the pre-fab, vacuum packed and flavor deprived food found at most fast food chains. By giving customers the freshest and finest ingredients, which are expertly prepared in front of them by an always-accommodating staff, Saladworks has developed a proven successful concept. Saladworks, a 20-year-old pioneer concept in the rapidly growing salad category, is taking a fresh' approach to franchising that will put more than 205 locations on the map by 2010.
