Lf Staffing Services Offers New Answer To Old Problem

ORLANDO, FLORIDA (Wednesday, July 07, 2004) - Finding qualified employees to work on a temporary basis is a problem facing many businesses throughout the country. Due to Orlando's heavy reliance on tourism, the problem is especially felt in hotels and restaurants.
LF Staffing Services, a temporary staffing company focusing on providing workers for various aspects of the hospitality industry in Orlando has found a unique approach when it comes to finding qualified applicants. The company, which recently opened its doors in Orlando on May 27th, is "partnering" with local colleges and universities that have a hospitality education department. Their goal is to match students with basic industry knowledge to practical employment. According to Katey Palmer, Operations Manager for LF Staffing Services, "We've found that hotels have a need for quality employees with basic industry knowledge. There are several schools in the Orlando area providing terrific training through their Hospitality Education departments. Many of the students from these schools are looking for part-time employment where they can use their knowledge. We are using our expertise in staffing to find jobs and internships enabling students to work in the field they are studying. It's a natural fit for everyone".

So far, the concept has been well received by both the hotels and schools. Palmer goes on to say, "We're partnering with the hospitality industry and changing the perception of hospitality staffing. We will also be providing training courses of our own to help meet immediate demands". LF Staffing Services will be providing temporary workers to help with housekeeping, maintenance, line & prep cooks, banquet servers, setup & teardowns.

LF Staffing Services is a division of Labor Finders, a leading national provider of industrial temporary help since 1975 with more than 195 locations nationwide. LF Staffing Services pays taxes, unemployment insurance, and worker's compensation. It is also a member of the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (CFHLA). The office will be holding an Open House on July 22nd from 3:00pm - 6:00 at 3700 34th St., Suite 204 Orlando. For more information, please contact Katey Palmer at 407-835-8841.
