Manchester Beach Koa On Cover Of Rv Life Magazine

MANCHESTER BEACH/MENDOCINO COAST, CA (Monday, December 27, 2004) - One of the jewels of the Kampgrounds of America system of campgrounds was featured recently on the cover of RV Life Magazine.

The Manchester Beach/Mendocino Coast, California KOA Kampground was selected as the featured campground on the cover of the November issue of RV Life Magazine, one of the premiere recreational vehicle magazines serving the Western United States and Canada.

The RV Life article profiled Jim and Jo Ann Lawrence, owners of the Manchester Beach/Mendocino Coast KOA for the past nine years. The Lawrence's purchased the campground after Jim completed a long career in the petroleum industry.

The campground, located on the shore side of famous U.S. Highway 1, is surrounded by Manchester Beach State Park. It features lush gardens and Monterey pine trees with direct access to a five-mile stretch of sandy Pacific Ocean beach. The campground has 125 RV sites, along with 28 KOA Kamping Kabins and Kottages. Full service hookups and 50-amp service are available.

One- and two-room Kabins are available, as well as the Kottages, which are equipped with bathrooms, showers, kitchens and even fireplaces. The campground is also great for groups, with a new recreation hall, store and laundry facilities.

The Manchester Beach/Mendocino Coast KOA is just five miles north of Point Arena and 30 miles south of Mendocino. It's one of the early campgrounds in the KOA system, which began 42 years ago in Billings, Montana.
