Colorado Springs Koa Owner Honored

COLORADO SPRINGS ,CO (Wednesday, December 15, 2004) - Robert Speight, longtime owner of the Colorado Springs South, Colorado KOA Kampground, was named Tourism Industry Manager of the Year by the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The award was presented Dec. 2, 2004, during the Bureau's annual dinner in Colorado Springs.
Speight was nominated for the award by the manager of his Colorado Springs KOA Kampground for both his skills as an employer and his involvement in the local community.
Robert Speight and his wife, Sandra, have owned the Colorado Springs South KOA franchise since 1989. At one time, they also owned and operated the Waldport/Newport, Oregon KOA.
The Colorado Springs South KOA is one of the premiere KOA locations in Central Colorado, located on the south side of the city just a few minutes drive from the red=rock spires of the Garden of the Gods area, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the quaint resort town of Manitou Springs.
