Juice It Up Puts Squeeze On Dairy Allergy

(Saturday, March 18, 2006) - One small girl's allergies resulted in the recently opened Juice it Up, a smoothie franchise at the Santan Gateway center in Chandler. Owners Neil and Jennifer Wada's 3-year-old daughter, Alicia, suffers from severe allergies including dairy. While most families indulge in frosty ice cream to make summer's heat bearable, Alicia enjoys Juice It Up's Just Peachy smoothie made with soy-yogurt, a safe alternative to forbidden frozen dairy treats.

When the Wadas, who discovered Juice It Up while living in California, couldn't locate one near their new Gilbert home, they decided to open their own at 1055 S. Arizona Ave., Suite 7, on the northwest side of Arizona Ave. and the Santan Freeway, and share their discovery with other allergy sufferers and healthconscious families.
