Smoothie Chain Juice It Up! Announces Plans To Add Locations Around Orlando

ORLANDO (Monday, March 27, 2006) - Juice It Up!, a California-based smoothie chain, said it plans to add 15 new franchises in the Orlando area by 2007.

The chain is shopping around the area for retail locations ranging from 800 square feet to 1,200 square feet. The smoothie operation now has two locations in Central Florida at the Orlando Outlet Mall on Vineland Avenue and on Alafaya Woods Boulevard in Oviedo.

"Smoothies have moved from a fad in the '90s to what is now a trend," President Brandon Gough said in a statement. "Whether it's morning, afternoon or evening, smoothies fill a niche for people that haven't been served."

Juice It Up! typically scouts for locations in high-traffic areas in retail, food, entertainment or theme centers. The company has 88 locations in California, Arizona, Tennessee, Washington, New York and Florida, with plans to open 55 new stores this year.
