Johnny Rockets Honors the 300th Birthday Year of Philadelphia's Adopted Son and Favorite Founding Father by Serving up the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

LAKE FOREST, CALIF. (Monday, March 06, 2006) - Two of the things that Philadelphia is famous for unfortunately never crossed paths – Benjamin Franklin and the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. While Johnny Rockets can't turn back time and introduce the two, they can introduce their version of a Philly favorite to the rest of the country. The quintessential Philadelphia food, which was invented by Pat Olivieri in 1930, features thinly sliced steak, grilled to perfection, topped with grilled onions and your choice of cheese served on an authentic hoagie roll.
