Saladworks Awards Its Top Franchisees At Its Second Annual Convention
(Monday, April 24, 2006) -
Saladworks, the nation's leading salad franchise with more than 75 locations, held its Second Annual Franchisee Convention on Wednesday, April 5 at Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa.
At the convention, Saladworks announced its strategic focus for the next twelve months, which includes opening at least 15 new locations by the year's end. Saladworks owner and founder John Scardapane envisions more than 205 locations by the end of the decade. In addition to announcing plans for new stores, he told the gathering of 200 Saladworks franchisees and employees that the 20-year pioneer in the fresh-tossed-to-order salad category anticipates $5.3 million in total operating revenues for 2006, of which he intends to re-invest $5.1 million back into the company. These numbers represent Scardapane's controlled development plan, which maximizes growth within Saladworks' existing system and budget.
"The Saladworks culture is our competitive edge," Scardapane said. "Competitors can attempt to copy our concept, but they will never duplicate the culture and the systems that we have created."
Following the outline of his vision for Saladworks, Scardapane's management team unveiled new technologies, such as MySaladworks.com, a new web-based portal for franchisees to share information and resources and the company's new advertising campaign. They also introduced Saladworks new line of all-natural salad dressings. Top performing franchisees were recognized for excellence in areas of sales and operations.
