Hair Saloon® To Open Ninth Area Store, First In Illinois

Fairview Heights Site Is First Of Three Planned Metro-East Locations

(Monday, September 27, 2004) - Hair Saloon® For Men, a men's haircutting franchise business, will open its first Illinois location at 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 7, at Winchester Plaza in Fairview Heights. The new store, located at the intersection of Route 159 at Frank Scott Parkway (4610 N. Illinois), is owned and will be operated by Bethalto residents Barry and Vicki Hosto, who also plan to open two more Metro-East locations (in Edwardsville and Alton).

"Like so many other franchise candidates, I was attracted to the Hair Saloon® concept as a satisfied customer," said Hosto, an Edwardsville-based Prudential Financial Agent for the past 13 years. "We're proud to be the first Illinois franchisee and proud to carry the banner of 'Honorable Rebellion Among Men®' east of the Mississippi."

Besides this first Illinois location, Hosto and other Hair Saloon® Area Developers will collectively build 13 more new stores over the next few years, bringing the area total to 22. Existing Hair Saloon® locations include Creve Coeur, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Manchester, Ellisville, South County, O'Fallon and St. Peters. Store hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday; and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

In addition to area development, Hair Saloon® Franchise Company, headquartered in West Port Plaza, continues to receive franchise inquiries from, and is holding private meetings with, area developer candidates in selected U.S. and international markets.
