First Grout Doctor Opens In Bay Area

CLEARWATER, FL (Monday, October 06, 2003) - The first Grout Doctor repair and maintenance service for ceramic tile and grout has opened in the Tampa Bay area. The franchise owner is Wayne Gregson of Clearwater.

James Baity, author of How to Get the Gold Out of Grout, established the Grout Doctor after developing a system of teaching tile and grout repair. In 1992 and 1993, franchises were sold in California and Arizona, and in 2001, they were offered throughout the United States.

The business specializes in repairing chipped and cracked grout, and cleaning and restoring grout color. It replaces chipped and cracked tiles and seals old and new grout to protect color and provide durability. Also offered is grout staining, which changes the color of existing grout without removing it. Regrouting and recaulking also is offered, as well as Mexican tile refinishing.
